Two rooms, one membership
Evening mats are here on King Rd. The morning and lunch classes run at our Maple room, and your membership covers both — which is how people with awkward shifts still train four times a week.

Gi and No-Gi. Evenings on King Rd, mornings and lunch in Maple.
Claim Your Free WeekBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the art of controlling a resisting opponent and finishing the fight without striking. It rewards leverage, timing and patience over size and aggression, which is the reason a smaller person can learn to handle a larger one, and the reason most people who walk through our door have never trained a martial art before.
We run both Gi and No-Gi. The Gi — the traditional jacket and trousers — slows the exchange down and teaches grip fighting, leverage and technical precision. No-Gi strips the grips away and speeds it up, favouring body locks, underhooks and scrambles. Most members train both, because each one finds the holes the other one hides.
Classes are mixed-level. You will be paired with people who can control you safely, nobody is thrown into hard sparring on their first night, and every class opens with a warm-up and instruction before it builds towards positional rounds.

You are not walking into a room of competitors who resent teaching you. Most of the people on the mat started where you are, and the first month is about learning to move and to be safe, not about winning rounds.
You do not have to choose. The week is built so you can do both, and the two together build a far more complete game than either on its own.
Classes marked Maple room run at our sister academy in Maple and are included in your membership. Everything else is here at 132 King Rd. Times are pulled live from the academy schedule, so this page cannot drift out of date — see the full timetable for every class we run.
No. The class is the fitness. Everyone works at the pace they can sustain, you can sit a round out whenever you need to, and the conditioning arrives as a side effect of turning up rather than as a prerequisite.
Shorts without pockets or zips and a t-shirt or rash guard. You do not need to buy a gi to start — borrow one or come to a No-Gi class, and buy your own once you know you are staying.
Not on day one, and not ever at a level you have not agreed to. Sparring is how the technique gets tested, so most people want it eventually, but it is opt-in and it is supervised.
Yes. One membership covers every adult class on the schedule, both disciplines, in both rooms. There is no per-discipline pricing.
No commitment and no sales pitch. Come in, take a class, and decide afterwards. We are at 132 King Rd in Richmond Hill, minutes from Vaughan and Aurora.
